Vintage Petra Cabot Design Skotch Kooler.This cooler was designed by Petra Cabot, who died October 13, 2006. It dates to 1952 and was made by Hamilton Metal Products Co., Hamilton, Ohio. It hold four gallons of food kept cool using insulation of fiberglass, air, and a heat-reflecting surface. Cabot worked for Russel Wright, the famed modernist, in 1938. She worked for him on the food pavilion at the 1939 New York World’s Fair. Her Skotch Kooler has become an icon of the fifties. It has plastic handle, has few scratches, the lid is faded but overall good condition.
