Story from a reader
From The Collectors Newsletter #496 -- February 2007 (06-29-2007)

A few years ago, my Pop passed away and Mom took it pretty hard. Pop was her best friend, well, the whole ball of wax. He had a habit of giving her stuffed animals for special gifts. A favorite was a bear, that played several different Christmas hymns when you pressed its paw. Mom used one wall in her bedroom and hung each of her animals on display. So many that she had to use a ladder.

One afternoon, a couple of months later, she returned from town really down and missing Pop, she went to the bedroom to change clothes, when she heard Christmas music. Bewildered, she turned around and realized that it was the bear on the wall. She knew it was Pop. He was there to comfort her and let her know he was near and watching after her.

Mom could not reach the bear without a ladder and it is all I can do to reach it, let alone, press its paw to play its music. Since that time, there have been other small things happen to all of us to let us know he loves us and is near. I truly thank God for this as it does wonders for my Mom. Linda Tyler, Texas
