"THE GERBER BABY" - TIE CLASP / TIE CLIP
What a wonderful find!! This special little advertising piece was from the GERBER BABY FOOD COMPANY. Most of their advertising pieces and send-away premium items were baby related (baby cups, baby spoons, and things of that nature). That's what makes this very adult piece of jewelry unique and special. Perhaps it was an employee piece! There is not another one for sale anywhere on the internet, so buy now while you can!!
Measures approx. 1 1/4 inches long, while the round "medallion" measures approx. 3/4" across. It is metal, and is marked "Kinney Co." and "Prov. 3, R.I." There is no blue color on the main shaft of the tie clasp - that is just a reflection in my photo.

What a wonderful find!! This print/litho is entitled BLUSHING BEAUTY II from the Romance Series by Peter Max. At one time, it was available on his website - you could specify "Just the print" for the lowest tier price, add a personalized signature for an additional fee, or skip to the highest tier and in addition to his coveted signature, request a hand drawn caricature to be added to the litho on the bottom right hand corner. This example of BLUSHING BEAUTY II is from the highest tier option - which includes a unique and one-of-a-kind caricature, hand-drawn by Peter Max himself (see close-up). The original website price was $960, and is now no longer available.
This example is VERY SPECIAL and more unique than the ones originally offered on his website, as it was signed ON THE MILLENIUM, no doubt at some fancy shindig/Millenium celebration of some sort!
It is framed quite nicely and is very heavy. A really nice quality piece!! There are a few tiny flecks of what appears to be white paint - one appears as a faint line going through the end of the word "Romance" in "Romance Series" on the bottom border - so it does not interfere with the beauty of the piece. The other consists of 3 tiny dots around the signed date. You can see this if you look closely and zoom in on the close-up.
